California Cap and Trade
As of 1/01/15 the State Of California and the California Air Resources Board are imposing a Carbon Emissions fee on each gallon of gasoline and diesel sold in California; the new fee may be better known as the Cap and Trade Fee. The Carbon Emissions fee will be passed through from the California Refiners all the way down to you, the consumer.
Sturdy Oil Invoices will reflect the cost of this new tax in your Taxes/Fees section as “CARB/GHG FEE”. The new tax is market driven so it will fluctuate, and could do so on a daily basis. Please feel free to call with questions concerning the mechanics of this new tax.
